As mentioning coastal tourism in the Central South region, such scenic spots as Mui Ne (Binh Thuan) or Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa) have become familiar to domestic tourists. However, for those favoring adventure, risks, or simply enjoying a change in feeling, it’s an interesting and stimulating fact to come to such intact natural beauty as Ninh Chu, Mui Dien…

Mui Dien or Dai Lanh cape, in Hoa Tam commune (Dong Hoa district) is the very first place to greet the sunrise, also this is the inland venue adjacent to the international waters of Vietnam. One can travel from Nha Trang to the North, following Ca Pass to turn into Vung Ro, or travel from Tuy Hoa city along the most spectacular coastal road, 40km long, towards to the South, to reach Dai Lanh cape.

Located at the foot of Mui Dinh is peaceful Bai Mon with soft and white sandy beach, the crystal and coll water. This is also the most wonderful feature of the Central South Coastal Region. Mui Dien sea is fairly intact, currently, this destination is mostly known to either local tourists or those from neighboring areas, and this means such things as garbage…are hardly in existence.

Mui Dien is a branch of Truong Son range protruding to the sea, and Mui Dien was discovered by a French general named Varella, therefore, the place used to be called Cap Varella. The particular feature of this scenic spot is the shape like either a mountain of a fresh water stream babbling to the sea. This is exactly the natural fresh water source for those swimming at MonBeach.

Coming to DienCape, one must once climb up the lighthouse to do some sightseeing, standing on the Easternmost of the nation to admire the beautiful country. From here, one can stretch the eyes to admire the spacious sea, right below the huge rocks, piling up each other, forming a nature’s masterpiece. After sightseeing the lighthouse, tourists walk down MonBeach, indulging in the blue and crystal clear water, to feel the preference that nature donated to the peaceful land of Phu Yen.

Tourists can travel either in groups of families of friends, bringing along tents to camp overnight right on Bai Mon. it’s advisable to bring along food and drinking waters, and very importantly, don’t forget the warm coats in case of cold winds. The night at DienCape is twinkling, legendary thanks to the jets of lights forming the faraway halos of lights in the sky. Tourists can lie on the sandy floor, listen in silence to the rustling waves, or now and then listening to the faraway breezes. When the night falls, the lights seem dancing on the sea. This is hundreds of lights from the fishing vessels undulating till the horizons at sea, in the darkness of the night, seemingly Mui Dien is a floating city at night.

With the fact that Mui Dien is the first place to greet the sunrise in Vietnam inland, after one night camping here, one should try to be an early riser to reach the lighthouse to greet that first sunrise shining right on the your hand.
