(Cinet)- An art program to honour Vietnamese martyrs, who made sacrifices for the nation’s independence and freedom was held in Hanoi on July 16.
The event is a chance to meet with the relatives of martyrs. Besides the sharing the moving stories of martyrs’ families, the audience enjoyed musical performances and newspaper reports on Vietnamese martyrs.
The event is one of several activities to honour and pay gratitude to Vietnamese martyrs and praise organisation and individuals who have made many contributions to the social movement of ‘Showing Gratitude‘ under co-organization by the Vietnam Martyrs’ Family Support Association (VMFSA), the State Bank of Vietnam, Vietnam Television, the People’s Army Newspaper and International Media JSC.
Also, the VMFSA presented DNA assessment results to five families of martyrs. The SBV and the VMFSA presented 100 savings books, each worth VND 5 million, and 64 gifts and 10 scholarships, each worth VND 2 million to relatives of martyrs.
The VMFSA also called on citizens to raise funds for the cause by texting TALS to 1405.
