(Cinet)- 70 new songs were introduced in a collection “Waves Rising in East Sea” towards island and sea of the nation.



On the morning of June 13, in Hanoi, Vietnam Musicians’ Association introduced some new songs of sea and island of the country. It is a result to launch a composing contest about the island and sea.


Association Chairman Do Hong Quan said the group singled out the songs from more than 100 entries sent by musicians nationwide in response to a campaign to write works highlighting the nation’s sovereignty over its seas and islands. The songs represent the hearts of musicians towards the motherland, and contributing voices to defend the sovereignty over the seas and islands.


Vietnam Musicians’ Association selected over 70 works in a collection ” Waves Rising in East Sea”- some new songs of sea and island” to release on June, 2014. Many songs are written such as ” Song doi Truong Saby Nguyen Cuong, ” Khuc hat ra khoi” by a musician Do Hong Quan, poet Tran Dang Khoa


The first volume of the series features songs about Vietnam’s coast guards, fishermen, submarine, naval, and air forces.
