(CPV) – Vietnamese girls in the national squad received cash bonus of VND50 million from Vietnam Volleyball Federation after beating 3-0 to Kazakhstan in the semi-final match of the 2014 VTV International Women’s Volleyball Cup on May 23.


The team won 25-17, 25-20 and 25-14, in just over one hour of playing.


In the qualifying round, Kazakhstan lost 3-1 to Vietnam.

Earlier, Vietnamese girls under the guidance of head coach Nguyen Manh Hung have performed outstanding in the qualifying round, thus were offering VND170 million bonus from VTV, Vietnam Volleyball Federation, Bac Ninh provincial People’s Committee and a firm in the province.



In the final match (to happen at 15h30 on May 25, broadcast live on VTV6 and VTV6HD channels), Vietnam will re-face Thai rivals who trounced the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea with a 3-0 victory (25-20, 25-22, 25-17).


In the opening match of the tour, 0-3 was the result of the match between Vietnam and Thailand.


In another match, Yunnan of China team after defeated Australia in three sets 3-0 (25-16, 25-22, 25-19), thus ranking 5th place in the tour./.
