(VOV) – Vietnam expects to qualify for the quarter-finals of the 2014 AFC Futsal Championship which will kick off in HCM City on April 30.

Experts believe the target is within reach as the hosts, selected among group seeds, do not have to face archrivals in group match series.

In Group A, Kuwait will certainly be Vietnam’s toughest opponents, while Tajikistan and Iraq are considered underdogs.

If Vietnam qualifies for knock-out stage, they will take on one of the four Group B teams namely Iran, Australia, China and Indonesia. Except for Iran, the remaining three teams are not Vietnam’s strong opponents.
