VietNamNet Bridge – Situated on the mountain ranges and romantic plateaus, these are the ideal places for tourists to enjoy the balmy weather during the hot summer in Vietnam.
Da Lat, in the Central Highlands‘ province of Lam Dong, is located 1,500m above sea level on the Langbian Plateau. The city’s temperate weather stands in contrast to Vietnam’s otherwise tropical climate. Mist covering the valleys almost year-round leads to its name “City of Eternal Spring”. The one-century history has also left a valuable architectural heritage for the city. Da Lat is compared to a museum of European architecture of the 20th century in Vietnam. These advantages help Dalat become one of the most well-known tourist destinations in Vietnam.
The town of Tam Dao in Vinh Phuc Province was built by the French government on the Tam Dao Mountains as their resort in the early 20th century. Located at an altitude of 900m, the town has a cool, fresh climate, with four seasons in one day. Tam Dao is also located near famous scenic spots such as Tay Thien Pagoda, Tay Thien Temple, and Tam Dao National Park.
Fifty kilometers from Hanoi’s center, Ba Vi National Park runs along the east-west of the Ba Vi mountain range with its Tan Vien peak of 1,296m. From the early 20th century, Ba Vi has been famous thanks to its diversity of ecosystems and landscapes and cool climate.
Located at an altitude of over 1,000 meters, Dong Van Plateau in Ha Giang Province has been recognized as a UNESCO Global Geopark for its unique geological structures. For tourists, it is home to many beautiful landscapes, the unique cultures of ethnic minorities, a temperate climate that is always cool and a less commercialized environment, very suitable for a long tour.
Bach Ma (White Horse) Mountains in Thua Thien-Hue Province is certainly one of the places with the most pleasant climates in the highlands of Indochina. Located at an altitude of nearly 1,500 meters, near the beach, the temperature in Bach Ma is never less than 4 degrees Celsius in winter nor exceeds 26 degrees in summer. The resort on the mountain was built by the French in the 1930s.
Located at an altitude of nearly 2,000m, wild Phia Oac is compared to heaven on earth for those who like adventure tourism. The annual average temperature here is always below 15°C. Hidden in the jungle in Phia Oac are deserted villas that were built during French colonial times.
Along with the Marble Mountains and Son Tra, Ba Na is one of the most beautiful mountains in Da Nang. The Ba Na resort was built in the early 20th century but it was forgotten in half a century because of war. In the 2000s, Ba Na was “reawakened” to become a famous resort of the central region.
