Supporting to build houses for 3 poor and fond-of-studying students

Phu Yen provincial Study Encouragement Association in collaboration with the local authorities in the two communes of Xuan Son Bac and Xuan Son Nam (Dong Xuan district) have just had the groundbreaking ceremony for constructing 3 houses for 3 poor families with fond-of-studying children.

The two families of students Ha Thi My Tien and Ngo Thi Giang are in Tan Long village, Xuan Son Nam commune, the family of student Huynh Ngoc Le in Tan Binh village, Xuan Son Bac commune. Accordingly, each family is supported VND 62.5 million to build each house; including VND 52.5 million funded by the East Meets West Foundation (office in Danang city) and VND 10 million by Phu Yen province.

Mr. Le Van Huu, Chairman of Phu Yen province’s Study Encouragement Association, let known, every year, the East Meets West Foundation provides direct support under the SPELL program with VND 3 billion to more than 500 poor students in disadvantaged areas of the two districts of Dong Xuan, Tuy An and Song Cau town for their learning conditions. The above-mentioned houses are the first ones to be built for three poor families with students overcoming difficulties to well study under the SPELL project of supporting with schooling in Phu Yen province.
