strong>French singer Patricia Kaas will have a series of activities in Vietnam after she arrived here Sunday for a second visit to the Southeast Asian country since 1994.
The dress was a design made for Kaas by renowned Italian designer Emilio Pucci. Besides the outfit, the event organizers have said that Kaas will also put another item up for auction but they have not revealed what it is.
The singer will have dinner and perform at the Sofitel Hotel event. Proceeds from the auction will be donated to the NGO Poussieres de Vie to help Vietnamese street children. Gala dinner tickets cost US$150 each.
The auction in Vietnam is part of a series of activities during Kaas’ world tour titled “KAAS chante Piaf” (KAAS sings Piaf) from 2012 to 2014, with 150 concerts to commemorate 50 years of the death of famous French singer ÉdithPiaf.
Kaas will meet local media on Monday and visit children at the Poussieres de Vie’s Phan Huy Ich Center on Tuesday.
One day later, the French singer will give a performance at Ben Thanh Theater in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. At this show, the singer will sing well-known songs including “La vie en rose,” “L’hymne à l’amour,” “Non, je ne regrette rien,” “La belle histoire d’amour,” “Avec ce soleil,” and “T’es beau tu sais.”
Tickets cost from VND500,000 ($24) to VND5 million ($238) each. All the money will also be donated to Poussieres de Vie.
This is the second time Kaas has visited Vietnam. She gave her first performances in Hanoi and HCMC in 1994 during her world tour “Tour de Charme.”
The French woman was born in 1966. She had her album “Mademoiselle chante…” debuted in 1988 and her film “And Now… Ladies and Gentlemen” first released in 2002.
She has won many prestigious awards, including Goldene Europa and Victoire de la Musique.
