(Cinet)- Introducing Cai luong (reformed opera) to the world via YouTube channel aims to raise awareness about the need to preserve and creatively develop the art form.
Nguyen Huu Vinh Hanh, managing director of POPS Worldwide said that we are trying to bring Vietnamese entertainment to the world. The Nhung bai ca co vang danh (Famous Ancient Songs) programme not only introduces these songs to the public. The programme is targeted at both overseas Vietnamese and international viewers.
In early May, the company launched the first video of its programme, called Tim va Giu (Find and Keep), which includes five old songs, Tan Co Giao Duyen (Charming Exchanges between the Modern and Ancient) and extracts of classic cai luong. Appearing on the video are veteran artists, as well as contemporary singers and Meritorious Artists, including Minh Vuong, Le Thuy, Ngoc Giau, Kim Tu Long, Ngoc Huong Ut Bach Lan, Dieu Hien, Phuong Quang and Bach Tuyet.
The programme’s second video, Xuan Que Huong (Spring in the Fatherland), is expected to be launched next year during the Lunar New Year holiday.
