32-year-old Nick Vujicic introduced his new book, “Stand Strong,” at the “Toa Sang Nghi Luc Viet” (Shining Vietnamese Will) program at Movenpick Hotel Saigon.

The book, which is about Vujicic’s experience with being bullied due to his abnormal body, is a collection of various methods to overcome and rise above bullying as well as other factors that keep people down.

Besides advising readers, especially young people, on how to build a “bully defense system” by creating a safety zone within themselves, establishing strong values and developing a spiritual foundation to always stay strong, Vujicic also teaches them how to help others who are being bullied.

The book also mentions numerous ways to deal with cyber bullying, which has become popular due to the rapid development of social networks in particular and the Internet in general.

Vujicic also brought his sister and parents along, saying he is persuading them to write about how they took care of him when he was young and the lessons that they taught him.

He is scheduled to participate as a guest speaker to deliver his speeches and interact with the audiences at the “Toa Sang Nghi Luc Viet” show at Phu Tho Sports Center in Ho Chi Minh City on Wednesday and at My Dinh Stadium in Hanoi on Saturday.

The program was launched in November last year by Vietnamese sheet metal producer Hoa Sen Group, the Vietnam Youth Federation and two local media outlets, aiming to honor disabled people who have made a great contribution to the society as well as having the courage to overcome difficulties in their daily life.

Nick Vujicic came and gave a speech at the events in the two cities last year.

This year, the two gala nights will be broadcast live on national TV channels VTV6 and VTV1, respectively.

Nick Vujicic was born in 1982 in Australia with no arms and no legs, a rare disorder called tetra-amelia syndrome. He attempted suicide at age 10 due to his disabilities as well as being targeted by bullies.

After successfully finding his own way to overcome these obstacles, the inspiring man has visited more than 40 countries to deliver over 2,000 motivational speeches about hope and finding meaning in life with a disability.

He is now the CEO of non-profit organization Life Without Limits he founded at the age of 17 and director of the Attitude is Attitude company.

Nick wrote several inspirational books “Without Limits: Inspiration for a Ridiculously Good Life,” “Unstoppable – The Incredible Power of Faith in Action,” and “Limitless: Devotions for a Ridiculously Good Life,” which all have been translated into Vietnamese.
