(Cinet)- As many as 200 Japanese cherry blossom trees are in full bloom at a festival opened to the public on April 11 at Ha Long Park, northern coastal Quang Ninh province.
This is part of activities to mark the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Year and the 40th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties.
The three-day event also includes art performances and exhibitions featuring culture and tourism of the two countries as well as other typical products of Quang Ninh and Japan.
The 2nd annual festival, organised by the Ha Long city People’s Committee in collaboration with Japan’s Wanokai International Culture Association, is expected to help promote cultural exchange and strengthen friendship between the province and Japan’s localities as well as the ties between the two countries.
