A new address for cooking and party services

The cooking and party services group of Chanh Lo Women's Union, Quang Ngai city

​This is the new model of cooking and party services run by the Women’s Unions of Chanh Lo and Nghia Chanh Ward under the assistance of the Women’s Union of Quang Ngai city.

It was first formed in October, 2013, by Nghia Chanh Women’s Union, to prepare for the services, 25 members (including 20 poor women) of the cooking group were sent to the cuisine training courses opened by the Provincial Women’s Union.

They have received so far about 60 services orders and contracts from customers throughout the province that creates jobs for more than 500 women with the labor work of about 200- 250 thousand dong/ head/ day. Besides, the group also raises a fund of nearly 10 million dong to support its members in case of difficulties.

At the end of year 2013, the Women’s Union of Quang Ngai city has replicated this model to Chanh Lo Women’s Union with the participation of 25 women.

Based on their achievements, the provincial Women’s Union made the proposal to the Central Women’s Union to request for 150 million dong support to train cooking members and equip cooking utensils as well as vehicles for moving around, etc.

The cooking and party services group model is evaluated successful and that meets the local demands of the province.

PWU plans to expand this model to other places in the province to create more jobs for poor women in the province and we hope that families and agencies which intend to hold parties should contact them for your reference and choice.
