(Cinet)- 67 art troupes from 38 countries have registered to take part in Hue Festival 2014 from April 12th to 20th in Thua Thien-Hue province, said Ngo Hoa, Deputy Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee cum Head of the Festival’s Organizing Board, on April 1st.
Hue Festival 2014 will showcase stunning art performances representing different sub-cultures and the ancient capital cities of Vietnam, especially Hue royal court music and Hue folk songs. In addition, exceptional traditional and contemporary art performances by 38 leading art troupes countries from five continents will be staged every night at venues inside the Citadel and An Dinh Palace of Hue, and outdoor stages in the vicinity of Hue. There are also special art performances for disabled people, patients and workers who cannot afford to attend the Festival.
Building on the theme “Cultural Heritage with Integration and Development”, the eighth edition of Hue Festival will assemble the ancient capital cities of Vietnam and other countries of the world.
