Over 4,000 entries for 43rd UPU international letter writing contest

The Hai Duong Department of Information and Communications on the morning of March 21 held an awarding ceremony for the 43rd UPU international letter writing contest.


After two months of launching with the theme “Write a letter describing how music can touch lives”, the Contest Organizing Board received over 4,000 entries of pupils from grade 5 to 10 at 127 schools in the province. 260 entries were chosen for the final round.


After two rounds of grading, the Organizing Board awarded prizes to 16 outstanding entries.


Nguyen Thuy Tien, a pupil of class 8C, Nguyen Trai Junior High School (Nam Sach), won the first prize.


Four collectives were awarded prizes for excellent achievements in the contest, namely the junior high schools of Nguyen Trai (Nam Sach), Vu Huu (Binh Giang), Tan Binh (Hai Duong city), and Nguyen Hue (Cam Giang).


The entries winning provincial prizes will be sent to the national contest.
