Nghe An builds bridge at dangerous dam

Construction of a bridge spanning Kha Ang dam in the central province of Nghe An began on March 22.

The bridge construction costs a total of 41.9 billion VND (roughly 1.97 million USD), and is scheduled to be completed within 36 months. It is located Nghia Dan district’s Nghia Hong commune.

In September 2013, five people were killed after a car carrying seven was swept away by swollen floodwaters bursting over the Khe Ang dam spillway.

The bridge is expected to support local business while ensuring the safety of local residents during floods.-VNA
