Mr. Le Hung Dung said: “There are many famous football clubs in Europe are willing to cooperate with us to open football academies in Vietnam. As the new term has just started, we will try to finish negotiation in 2014 to have a similar academy like Hoang Anh Gia Lai-Arsenal JMG in 2015.”

“Vincent Kompany, captain of Manchester City FC, after a visit to Vietnam in 2012, has repeatedly discussed with me about his intention to open a football academy named after him in Vietnam. I promised that when I choose a good Vietnamese partner, I will tell him.”

Arsenal is the first FC opening a football academy in Vietnam. After the launch and initial success of HAGL-Arsenal JMG, Real Madrid and Ajax also want to build their academies in Vietnam.

If Manchester City or any other FCs decides to follow Arsenal, it will be good news for Vietnam football.
