VITM is a big promotion tourism activity



Nhan Dan Online – The second Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM), which is scheduled from April 3-6 in Hanoi, will focus on promoting domestic, inbound and outbound tourism.


So far, 659 businesses from 22 countries and territories worldwide have registered to participate in the fair including the Republic of Korea, Japan, Taiwan (China), Hong Kong (China), China, Phillippines, Russia, Bulgaria, Australia and France.


The mart, themed ‘Tourism Promotion – New Destination, New Opportunity, and Travelling for Sustainable Development’ will feature 150 international, 213 domestic and 136 outdoor booths—a total of 131 more than at last year’s event.


On the occasion, a number of international conferences and seminars are to be held, as will press conferences introducing destinations and tourism products of many countries.


A wide variety of artistic activities and food festivals will also take place during the four days of the event.


Travel companies taking part in the fair will launch 5000 – 6000 promotional tours to Vietnam and several foreign countries. Domestic airlines—including Vietnam Airlines, Viejet Air and Jestar Pacific—will also offer thousands of special discounts on fares to promote tourism.
