The draft “Decision on the management, operation and exploitation of Vietnam’s first Earth observation satellite” has been building and collecting contribution ideas by Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.

Accordingly, the implementation of the direction of Prime Minister at document No. 4262/VPCP-QHQT dated May 28, 2013 of the Office of Government Affairs on assigning Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology will coordinate with Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Finance and the relevant agencies to build mechanisms and policies in deploying use of VNREDSat – 1 satellite images that ensure the effectiveness and report to the Prime Minister, on June 28, 2013, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology issued Decision No. 1203/QD-VHL on establishing a working group by Prof. Nguyen Dinh Cong, Vice Chairman of Vietnam Academy of Science and technology is a chief group, and members are experts of the Government Office and the Ministries, such as Ministry of Planning and Investment, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to perform works above. The working group has built the draft “Decision on the management, operation and exploitation of Vietnam’s first Earth observation satellite VNREDSat-1.
