Vietnam to observe International Day of Happiness in March

Nhan Dan Online – Vietnam is planning a wide range of activities, scheduled between March 8 -20, to celebrate the United Nations International Day of Happiness.

They include workshops, seminars, cultural performances and sports events, which will be co-organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and other ministries, to promote the value of happiness.

These activities aim to raise the society’s awareness of the International Day of Happiness to encourage action to be taken to build a happy society with happy families.

The observance is also a chance to publicise Vietnam’s policies and laws on social welfare and the construction of happy and progressive families, as well as to honour examples of good people across the nation.

In June 2013, 193 members of the United Nations adopted a resolution selecting March 20 as the International Day of Happiness, a day to inspire action for a happier world.
