Taiwan employment services suspended

HA NOI (VNS) — Some 14 companies were suspended from sending labourers to Taiwan, for 45-60 days since Thursday, by the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs‘ Department of Overseas Labour.

The suspension came after these companies collected brokerage fees higher than the permitted amount and deducted a higher deposit from labourers’ wages than regulated.

The companies include the Viet Nam General Import-Export and Technological Transfer Joint Stock Company (Vinagimex) and the Viet Nam Trading Engineering Construction Joint Stock Corporation (Vietracimex). — VNS
