On January 22, Nguyen Van Doc, Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ninh provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, visited and sent Tet congratulations to cadres and soldiers of the armed forces and people on Tran Island, Co To district.

During the visit, he praised the efforts made by agencies, inquired after their health, gave presents to cadres and soldiers, and the family of Hoang Van Hien who has lived on the island for 10 years.
He urged the armed forces to create favourable conditions in the educational and medical sector for residents and manage the residents well to build up an island of firm sovereignty and strong economic development.
He added that the province would thoroughly prepare the financial, educational and medical conditions to welcome more residents to live on Tran Island, completing procedures for the establishment of the Tran Island commune.
Inspecting the constructions belonging to the project on building infrastructure serving residents on the island, he praised contractors for overcoming difficulties in carrying out the construction. However, he also asked the contractors to ensure the progress and quality of constructions./.
